Things to keep in mind when advertising:
-All stud horses must have an owner or representative one can contact for more information. This can be an alt, but it's generally preferred if it's an owner roleplayed by someone else. Any applications lacking a representative will be promptly deleted.
-Pictures are fine, but make sure you host them on your own server -- do NOT steal bandwidth from others. You can host images on a site such as www.photobucket.com/ for -free-. Any applications found to be stealing bandwidth will be promptly deleted.
-Basic information to include in your stud ad: Furcadia name and show name, breed, representative/owner, major competition results, pictures(if you have them), website(if you have one), and stud fee.
-Keep stud fees relatively realistic. For an unshown horse, anything over $10,000 is absurd. For a stellar race horse, anything under that is equally absurd.
-Do you do 'live cover'(actually mating with each mare) or artificial insemination? NOTE: If you are not comfortable long-breeding, or actually roleplaying out a mating scene, it's definately best to opt for artificial insemination. However, in some breeds, such as Thoroughbreds, foals concieved by AI may not be registered with the parent club: keep this in mind. One can always 'fade to black'.
-Make your advertisement read well -- sell yourself! Look at stud advertisements online and in magazines for ideas.
-Only one advertisement to a thread, please. Don't try to save space by putting five studs in one post.
-In the subject of your thread, atleast put your character's name and breed, so people can get an idea for your character immediately, and use the 'Search' function to find the breed they're looking for.
