The yearling filly lay in the horse trailer taking a nap after the many different transportation methods she had finally been brought to the US. The owners of the German based farm had sent along two handlers that had been around the filly from the time of her birth to her first birthday. In a few more hours she would come to the farm where Shadow Meadow Farms had lent her out to bring attention to the German breeding farm. It would be hoped that she would be bred when she reached the right age, and that one of her foals would be sent back to Germany to strengthen the line she had come from. MoonFire opened her eyes slowly and stretching her neck out she yawned. The yearling shook her head getting to her feet she then shook off her coat. The rug that had been brought over with her hung on the inside of the trailer. She lifted her head some so she could look out one of the windows. Her nose pressed to the window but she grew tired of watching the world fly by and turned t nibble at the hay that had been hung in the trailer for her.
She lay on the floor of the trailer once more after a quick nibble of hay her head tucked close to her left shoulder.
The truck took the final turn and began to drive up to the stables. They would let the filly out to stretch her legs in the indoor arena. The two people in the truck needed to speak with the owner of the farm. They needed to know about the care that she would get as well as if she would be able to find an owner. They were careful as they backed the horse trailer to the loading ramp of the arena and both got out of the truck to open the trailer door. They waited a moment or two before one of them entered the trailer to get the filly moving.
MoonFire nickered getting to her feet as one of her handlers came in. The handler took the halter form the side of the trailer placing it on the yearlings head. Moon was calm as she was lead out of the trailer and out into the arena. She began to prance around on the lead rope and fought a little as she was pulled in so the halter could be removed from her. As soon as she was free the yearling took off at a gallop around the areana happy to be out and running around once more. She kicked up her back legs and tossed her head.
