RFF Starbuck
Superior AQHA/APHA Stallion
1996 AQHA/APHA Perlino Stallion
15.3 1/2 Hands
Homozygous for the Black Gene and Agouti
Negative for Lethal White, HYPP N/N
Guaranteed buckskin, dun, or smoky black foal out of any color mare except gray
Starbuck is a gorgeous example of the perlino color in horses. Perlino is what happens when a bay coat is diluted twice. Think of cremello, but with peach or gold points, mane, and tail. Starbuck is also homozygous for the black and agouti genes, which means he will never sire a palomino foal! He has a gorgeous cream body with gold points, gold mane and tail, and a very visable gold dorsal stripe. His sire was registered as a dun and because of the dorsal stripe, it is very likely that Starbuck carries the dun gene as well. A perlino dun!
Starbuck is no stereotypical Quarter Horse. He majors in hunter events, such as Working Hunter, Hunter Hack, and Hunter Under Saddle. He is also a superior halter horse and can compete in western pleasure. He has an even disposition that he has inherited from his parents and handling since birth. He really is just a big Barbie doll. He loves being groomed, clipped, braided, and polished.. Little girls certainly would love him! He absolutely adores children and would be an amazing babysitter for them. Don’t want to leave your kids home alone? Bring them out to Starbuck and he’ll make sure no harm comes to them. He’s well behaved for adults, too, but isn’t quite as cuddly. Still, his only problems are antsy mare-related problems and pawing when it gets close to feeding time.. He does love his food.
