Top Rail Equestrian Center presents...
Freedom Flame Halter Event
In the outside dressage arena on Sunday, July 8th
The event begins at 4 PM FST.
Judge: Jesse Foster
You think you've seen a halter show? Well, ladies and gentlemen, mares and stallions (and geldings of course ;) ), divert your eyes to this thread!
Everyone loves a challenge, and with it the chance to prove they're among the best to step foot in the show ring. Halter shows are often seen as minor ways to grab money and pile on points, but not this event! Freedom Flame is proud to be the first halter show at Top Rail to seperate more than just tack type!
What's the catch? Really, there is only one: You can only have ONE post per character. This means you make a post and you make it good, because that one post will be your key to win the $100,000 championship!
Here's how the show goes:
1) First, we start with age group. The winner of their particular age group will then proceed to the next round.
2) Then, the winners of age are seperated into classes via gender. The females will compete for the best of their sex, just as the males will.
3) Lastly, the winning male and winning female will compete in a battle of the sexes for the grand and reserve champion titles!
.RULES.
1) There are no classes based on western, english, or arabian tack. Horses trained in strictly STOCK HALTER may present as such. It makes no difference to me. ENGLISH is a preffered method for those who know how, and Arabians may NOT present themselves in Arabian tack. Doing so will get them disqualified.
2) There are a LOT of divisions, meaning I shouldn't have to wait more than 60 seconds for your posts. If I have to wait past 1 full minute, I'll pass you by, and you'll be disqualified. Come prepared!
4) The limit is FOUR FURCADIAN PARAGRAPHS. Since that post will be your one post throughout the entire event, you can use a lot of space.
5) If you pass to the next round, unless I ask, do not repost. It is likely that I have copied your post on Microsoft Word, where I can compare and read it over again there. This way, it won't flood screens with repetitive posting.
6) There is NO alt limit. You may have as many alts as you want entered in this show.
7) Handlers do NOT have to be present for this event. However, handlers can only handle ONE HORSE PER DIVISION. If a handler ends up getting two winners, they may get the help of another person.
8) I don't have restrictions against breed. Pony, miniature, draft, warmblood, hotblood, etc. are all accepted.
9) Have fun! It's a game! Acting like a sore loser or rubbing your victory in people's faces is a pathetic way to act.
10) Yes, you CAN handle your alts, and NO. You do NOT need to be owned. You don't have to list a handler--I'll consider it anonymous and you can treat them as such in your post.
.What I'm Looking For.
1) Grooming. Be sure to talk a bit about how your character looks and what may've occured to do such.
2) Behavior. A stallion that bites at every opponent he sees is less likely to get first than one who stands still and patient.
3) Halter. Do NOT forget the halter.
4) Handler. If you don't have an owner/handler, that's fine. Use an anonymous "dummy".
5) Flow. I like it when people write as if they're writing a story. I tend to edge away from posts with a lot of large words or that make no sense. Proofread. I won't do it for you.
