LEGUME HAY
Alfalfa Hay, Clover Hay, Lespedeza Hay
Higher in protein, energy, calcium and vitamin A, recommended for young, growing horses, lactating mares, and performance athletes. Encourages horses to drink more.
GRASS HAY
Timothy Hay, Bermudagrass Hay, Brome Grass Hay, Kentucky Bluegrass Hay
Generally lower in protein and energy, and higher in fiber than legume hay. Satisfies the horse's appetite and provides necessary roughage without excess calories and protein. Less dusty than legume hay.
*Hays may be combined if the owner so desires.
