This thread will list the progress of Jesse's work with any of the horses listed in the thread "Trainees". No logs will be included, but commentary will be added as well as future plans. If you want anything to be changed, just talk to me about it.Date: December 9, 2006 Name: The Bride Age: Yearling Lesson: Began introducing Bride to tack. Discovered she was headshy and gave her the bridle slowly. The bridle was only tightened slightly to allow her to get used to it. A saddle blanket was placed on her back, but no saddle for today. Upcoming lessons: Hope to get her situated with the english leather bridle and western trail saddle. Eventually, these will be replaced with a racing bridle and saddle when she becomes used to it. After Bride accepts the first saddle's weight, she will be eased into getting used to human weight and pressure.

Date: March 16, 2007 Name: Fantasy's Silverlining Age: Two Lesson: A simple gallop around the track. Meant to determine Fanta's speed, form, and problems and find ways to fix it. Upcoming lessons: Planning to introduce specific tools to figure out what's wrong. Starting with blinkers. If unsuccessful, I'll figure something out.

Date: April 15, 2007 Name: Fantasy's Silverlining Age: Two Lesson: Introduced him to another gentle thoroughbred colt to rid of his violent anger towards other male racehorses, and was successful. Figured out problem with temper has to do with a rival named Disturbed Chaos. Breezed Fanta around the track; forced him to keep a slow, steady pace until he reached the final turn, where he was let loose. Blinkers have become a new preferable tool to keep his attention away from his rival and other horses. Upcoming lessons: Unless another problem arises, mainly simple breezes--a repeat of the 15th--to remind Fanta how he's supposed to run and encourage victory.
