After several weeks on semi-hiatus from Furcadia, I have come to the conclusion that I just do not have the drive to deal with a lot of the people in the Furcadian equestrian community. The in-fighting, cliques, backstabbing, and disloyalty has come to a head and I'm through with it. Those of you who know me know that I'm not one of those types who 'quits' every two months when there's a drama explosion and comes back two days later or makes a new alt or just uses it as an excuse to disown characters of certain people. I'm not like that.
I am NOT quitting Furcadia. My Mason application was recently accepted so I will be on fulfilling those duties (finishing up those classes and helping as-is as a Pixel). I just like the format of the game and SOME of the people I have met way too much to leave the game.
I am not promising that I'll never come back, and I am essentially "freezing" my characters. I could come back in a year or two. I have no idea. All of Wynd's horses are 'disowned on good terms' and I wish you the best of luck in finding a new owner if you choose to do so. If you want to just freeze your character and play it again if I ever /do/ come back to horses, I don't mind that either. (I don't know if Sasha wants to take over all of Leigh's horses or if he wants to disband the program -- belongs to him now, so he can do whatever he pleases.)
I will still be roleplaying Wynd. I am working on avatars for a new, improved TCA and that is the route I intend to go. I want to run TCA and Sharphowl Kennels and also make it possible for other people to have their own kennel dreams so that we can have successful dog competitions. I plan on making some patches specifically for the public.
On that note, TREC is not for sale and probably never will be -- don't bother asking. Ditto for Tanglewood. I will be putting SOME of TREC's custom patchwork up for download as soon as I figure out what I want to release, what I don't want to release, and set up a site for myself. I may throw in some of Tanglewood's patches as a bonus, but more than likely I may sell the barn patches for Tanglewood. (I cannot and will not sell the house patches for TW as 95% of the interior I did not do myself.)
I want to thank some of you who have stuck by me through it all: Amanda, who has been a part of my horse RP dreams for over four years now; Chaos/Sasha, for being a great tough staff member for the past three years and being my bestest buddy overall; and Fanta, for being intensely loyal in the year that I have known you (and I hope to see you again at the trial on Labor Day weekend ). These three people have always been loyal to me and I will never forget it.
And to everyone else: thanks. It's been fun. I learned a ton about horses, I learned to patch, I learned to dreamweave. I got a lot out of this experience and I thank you all for it.
