Clinic Presenter: Wyndlily Sharphowl
Thursday, July 19th, 2007 at 12 PM FST
limited to 10 participating horses
Join us in our spacious outdoor arena on Thursday, July 19th to spend a lazy summer afternoon learning the ins and outs of showing in English classes on Furcadia. Hunter in hand, dressage, equitation, and gaits will all be covered.
The clinic is primarily Out-Of-Character, although posting will be discussed as it is an important part of some of the events. Thus, participating horses do not need riders.
This clinic is geared towards those new to horse shows, who might've only participated in a couple or those who have yet to show at all. Those with more showing experience who are curious to see what will be covered may just come as spectators. Spectator space is unlimited and seating is provided -- just stop in and watch. There will be periodic question-and-answer sessions with the spectators, otherwise, spectators are expected to remain silent.
About the Presenter: Voted "Rider of the Year" in 2006, Wyndlily Sharphowl is a competitive three-day-eventer. Former owner of Top Rail Equestrian Center, she continues to teach lessons there although her focus is on her Warmblood breeding program at her home dream, Tanglewood. Her best-known mounts are Thoroughbred mare Call for Chaos, voted "Mare of the Year" in 2006, and Note to Self, voted "Riding Horse of the Year" in 2006 as well as the Grand Champion of the Summer Heatwave Series in 2006 and 2007. Her horses consistently place in the shows they attend. Wyndlily also frequently judges both English and Western events for various dreams.
To sign up for the clinic, simply reply to this thread with your horse character's name. If you just want to watch, you do not need to sign up in advance -- just come. (You MUST be signed up on the AVF forums to post.)
We hope to see you there!
