Want to hold an event?

As some of you may know, I'm really taking it up a notch this year in terms of my OOC agility competitions. This means that almost every weekend in April and May will be taken up with trials, and I will not be on to host events (or if I do, they have to be late in the evening).

I don't want TREC to be eventless until June! I'll be doing a lot of Friday night shows, bringing back the Monday Night Races, and possibly be throwing in the occasional schooling show on Wednesday nights -- this all depends on my work schedule. But I'm opening it up to staff/regulars who would like to host a show.

Here's the deal. If you're not staff/don't have share, you need to find someone who does to help you out. You can run whatever you want, but here are some ideas:
-Clinic
-Race (TB/Arab/QH)
-Show Jumping
-Dressage/Gaits
-Halter
-Western (Barrel Racing/Pole Bending)
-Auction

And of course, combined events could be doable. If you think you want to host something, reply here. I don't want more than one event on any given day as it gets a bit too hectic. If you're non-staff and haven't found a staff member to help you yet, that's fine. Just post away, and see if you can convince people to help you out. At the very least, give us an idea of what sort of event you want to hold, and on what date/weekend you want to hold it.

Well, since Amanda will be taking over Rose's responsibilities (by the way, do you want me to fill out an application for her or just switch everything over to Amanda), she can probably host a Halter show and an Auction.

I was thinking either the 28th or 29th of april. either i could hold a jumping show on one of those, or if you allow it, i wouldn't mind holding a jumping show on one day, then possibly a gaits show on the other.

Yeah, you can hold back-to-back shows. Go for it. Finalize the dates and come up with a name for the event and around, say, the first week of April, make the posts so folks can sign up.

Alright. I would probably be freest around my Spring Break which is from March 26th to March 30th. Then, I get out of school on May 17th.

I would definitely be willing to try holding a gaits show. Could I add equitation onto that, on the same day?

Because of Passover, March 31st (Saturday) is likely my best bet for holding the shows. If for some reason that date doesn't work out, I can reschedule it to April 7th or 8th, perhaps.

March 31st would be perfect; nothing's scheduled yet for that date.

Let me know when you come up with a name for the event and I'll put it on the calendar. You can start a sign-up thread right away.

Kay, Wynd. I made ALOT of changes with what I wanted to hold.
Since there seems to be so many jumping shows coming out of different dreams, I've decided to hold a Park Seat show. For those who don't know what that is and stuff, an informative link will be provided in the thread.

I also looked for a closer, and clear date. April 14th works? Mebe? I have my post all ready, so if you give me the go-ahead, I'll post it up.
